Training partner needed to train for London Marathon

Hi
I have had a mad moment and signed up at work to run the London Marathon. I am not guarenteed a place I find out by the 13th of November !
The only run I have ever done was a 10k run that I did in June ... I did that with no training at all but I realise I cant do that for a Marathon!
I wondered if there is anyone out there in Sheffield who is already training for it and could give me any hints and tips on how i get started?!
