We are seeking volunteers aged 18 and over with active IBS to investigate if pre, pro and synbiotics relieve the symptoms of the condition. This study will be a 4 week intervention and 4 week proceeding washout period. You will require to consume bacterial preparation (pro- pre- synbiotic or a placebo) for 28 days
and complete a FFQ , two 4 day food diaries and very simple weekly
questionnaire about bowel satisfaction. Further instruction will be given when/if we meet you.
