Baitings Dam Abseil & Zipslide – Sat 21 June 2008, Baitings Dam, Ripponden, West Yorks

Want to experience the ultimate adrenaline rush? Want to fulfil one of your life ambitions? Want to raise some money for the lifesaving service offered by the RNLI’s volunteer crews? Then why don’t you launch yourself into the air off the top of a 170ft dam? Or jump over the side of the dam with only a cable to secure you?

The RNLI has guaranteed places at the Baitings Dam abseil and zipslide on Sat 21 June 2008. We invite you to come and have the experience of a lifetime, and support the RNLI, at the dramatic Baitings Dam, near Ripponden in West Yorkshire. This fantastic, 170ft high dam is easily accessible from Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester as it lies just off the M62.

You can choose to abseil or zip only, or why not take the ultimate challenge and complete BOTH activities on the same day?! All we are asking for is £200 min sponsorship (+£50 registration fee, £250 total) for anyone doing 2 activities – if you choose to do just one then you’ll need to raise £120 min sponsorship (+£30 registration fee, £150 total). All funds raised will go directly to the RNLI, which provides a ring of safety around the UK and rescues an average of 22 people every day.
