This recently refurbished property in the heart of Sheffield is currently looking to recruit a Conference and Banqueting Sales Manager. The hotel is part of a multi national group of hotels and offers excellent career progression. Job Description
The position of Conference and Banqueting Sales Manager will report both to the Operations Manager and an area Conference Sales Manager. Your role will be office based and consist of the following duties:-
* Managing 1 co-ordinator
* Using the hotel database system to encourage repeat bookings and in turn keep this regularly updated
* Manage the manual conference diary
* Attend Head of Department meetings
* Forecasting for the department
* Monitoring budgets
* Training and mentoring your coordinator
* Conducting client show rounds
* Encouraging more corporate business into the hotel
* Taking bookings for 7 conference/banqueting rooms
Required Experience
* Experience within hotels or venues is required
* You must have had previous financial responsibilities within conference sales, forecasting and monitoring budgets is a requirement of this role
* Flexibility with your hours is required. Your role will predominantly be Monday Friday 9-5 but occasional you may be required to meet some clients on a Saturday.
Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for this role is £18/19,000. Bonus of up to 30% of salary can be earned and company benefits include health care and free car parking.
