An exciting finance opportunity has just arisen at a government-funded organisation in South Sheffield.
My client is currently looking to recruit a finance assistant into their team to look after the day-to-day running of the purchase and sales ledger functions. The ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with both purchase and sales ledger and be available to start at short notice. Due to somebody leaving the organisation, this is a vacancy that would allow someone to start immediately, however my client will wait for the right candidate if they are currently in employment. The position will initially be a 12 month contract with the potential of being extended by a further 2 years as new funding comes through.
The day-to-day duties will include, matching, batching and coding purchase invoices, statement reconciliations, raising invoices, allocating cash and any other adhoc duties to assist the finance manager. This organisation offer excellent benefits including free on-site parking, flexible working hours and an early finish on a Friday afternoon.
Previous experience of working within a finance department is essential and strong IT skills including Excel would be advantageous.
