Wanting to form a totally different band

Hi!
I'm a singer, looking for open-minded, unpretentious, creative musicians to form a dark/alternative band in the rock area.
I can play guitar adequately but I admit I'm a little rusty. I've played bass in bands for years, but bass players are more than welcome if you think you have something valuable to throw in.
I have a massive array of infleunces; I think Nick Cave is a dark, romantic genius, that the Smashing Pumpkins make the best noise in the world, I'm obssessed with Greenday and Weezer, I love the Manics as a whole, but prefer both the earlier stuff and the most recent, I liked The Strokes best out of the indie surge, and I generally love anything a little offbeat.
I've played in a band on/off for a while, I'm just looking to find my own cathartic outpouring and hopefully come up with something quite amazing.
I'm 26 if that matters, I'm reasonably unfussed about age, just looking for people I can work well with.
