As the Ecologist you will join a growing sustainability team within a South Yorkshire.  You would be responsible for leading a project and come from either a consulting or contractor background.

You will have proven technical experience in Ecological Impact Assessment, preferably with significant survey and mitigation experience, with bats a distinct advantage, you'll also have proven experience of excellent project, client and staff management. Public Inquiry experience would be advantageous as would proven business development capabilities.

In addition to providing high quality ecology consulting services you will be expected to play an integral part in their development strategy and driving your own area of specialism will be encouraged.

We are seeking candidates with:



- Strong consultancy track record

- Evidence of business wins

- Technical expertise in Ecological Impact Assessments

- Preferably survey and mitigation experience

- Demonstrable project and client management experience

- Staff management experience would be an advantage

- BSc Ecology /Biological Science (or equivalent)

- Full IEEM membership

- CEnv desirable







With a relevant Degree and broad experience of UK Ecology, including planning and legislation, it's desirable for you to hold full membership of IEEM and desirable that you meet the criteria for Chartered Environmentalist status (CEnv).

Due to the nature of the position it is absolutely essential that you have strong written and communication skills.
