The Challenge:
K-Now provide Knowledge Management solutions for large scale blue chip customers using state of the art technology. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our expanding team in our Sheffield (UK) offices.

Responsibilities Include:
- Developing and maintaining VisualBasic applications/plugins taking into account client IT infrastructure constraints.
- Developing new features and products in Visual Basic and translating already developed features (from Java) into a VB environment.
- Assisting in creation of code and user documentation; as well as assisting in the creation of associated user documentation as required.
- Assisting in quality assurance and control of software applications.

Job Requirements:
Technical Essentials:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience developing applications using VB technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Clear knowledge of Java to transform code into Visual Basic solutions.
- Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Educational Experience:
- A degree in Engineering or Computer Science covering relevant experience; or equivalent industrial experience.

Other Desired Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation.
- Ability to evaluate alternative approaches.
- Knowledge of latest coding trends and methods.
- Strong time management skills.
- Experience with Java development.
- Experience with VBA and MS Office Macro development

Nice to have Qualifications:
- Experience of developing dynamic web based application interfaces.
- Experience with SQL systems (development and deployment).
