Human Resources Manager

An opportunity like no other, pre opening you will be recruiting and coordinating the recruitment of the hotel team, building local contacts and relationships with local Sheffield employment providers. Ensuring all employees are trained and development in preparation for our first guests and implementing existing company policies and procedures.

As a member of the senior management team, reporting to the General Manager. You will be providing a quality HR service to the Jurys Inn, which is consistent with statutory requirements, best practice and company policies and procedures. You will develop and maintain close working relationships with members of the management team and provide leadership in all aspects of human resources issues.

We are looking for someone who is “people focused”, has excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, has up to date knowledge of good HR practice and UK employment legislation, can prioritise and work to deadlines, acts on own initiative, has a good understanding of the hospitality industry and is able and willing to contribute to the Group HR Agenda. Previous experience of working in the Hospitality industry, experience of SAP payroll system and the CPP qualification is desirable. You will be given every opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through the day-to-day delivery and management of the HR function, Group HR activities and you will be given the opportunity to receive funding for the CIPD qualification.

The new Jurys Inn Sheffield is scheduled to open in January 2009. It will have 259 bedrooms, dedicated meeting rooms, restaurant, bar and Il Barista coffee bar. Located in the city centre just a short walk away from the shopping and nightlife of this bustling city.
