Software Design Engineer

Our client, providers of industrial systems application software due to expansion they are now looking to recruit an additional Software Design Engineer to work on the design of software which can range from modifications to existing PLC or SCADA systems software, to full specification and design of bespoke software for a range of blue chip and SME clients.

Reporting into the Managing Director, you will be responsible for predominantly designing software, producing functional design specifications, test procedures and operator and maintenance manuals but will also be expected to attend client sites for the installation and commissioning of the control system software.

Our client is looking for individuals who can demonstrate commercial experience in PLC programming for Siemens S7, SCADA programming (Wonderware Applications Server 3 or InTouch) and preferably experience of C++, HTML, Java, SQL or VB though not essential.

Our client is offering a salary in the region of £30,000 + overtime + contributory pension and 23 days holiday.
